First, try the basics

A refresh, confirming you're on BNB Smart Chain, and checking your BNB balance solves the large majority of issues below before you need to dig further.

Issue by issue#

Likely cause: The wallet extension isn't unlocked, is blocked by a popup blocker, or the browser tab lost focus mid-connection.

Try this:
  1. Make sure your wallet app or extension is unlocked first.
  2. Disable any popup blocker for the Trustfy site.
  3. Refresh the page and try connecting again.
  4. If using WalletConnect, make sure your phone has an active internet connection while scanning the QR code.

Likely cause: Your wallet is set to a network other than BNB Smart Chain.

Try this:
  1. Approve the network-switch prompt Trustfy shows automatically.
  2. If it doesn't appear, open your wallet's network selector and choose “BNB Smart Chain” manually.
  3. Refresh the page after switching.

Likely cause: Your wallet doesn't hold enough BNB to cover the network fee for the action you're taking.

Try this:
  1. Buy or transfer in a small amount of BNB — see Gas.
  2. A few dollars' worth is usually enough to cover several actions.
  3. Retry the transaction once your balance updates.

Likely cause: You're trying to fund an escrow deposit or match a trade larger than your USDT balance.

Try this:
  1. Check your USDT (BEP20) balance in your wallet.
  2. If you're selling, top up your balance or lower the trade amount.
  3. Make sure you're not confusing USDT on another network — only BEP20 USDT works on Trustfy.

Likely cause: Network congestion, or a gas price that was set too low, is causing the transaction to sit unconfirmed.

Try this:
  1. Give it a few minutes — most BSC transactions confirm quickly, but occasional delays happen.
  2. If your wallet supports it, try speeding up or resubmitting with a higher gas price.
  3. Avoid submitting a duplicate transaction, which can create confusion about which one actually goes through.

Likely cause: A payment or funding window elapsed before the required action was taken.

Try this:
  1. Check the trade's current state — see Trade Lifecycle.
  2. If funds were already escrowed, a timeout typically leads to settlement or dispute options rather than losing funds outright.
  3. For future trades, watch the live countdown and act well before it runs out.

Likely cause: Usually an insufficient balance, insufficient gas, or a stale approval that needs to be re-signed.

Try this:
  1. Confirm you have enough USDT and BNB.
  2. Refresh the trade page and retry funding.
  3. If it persists, check FAQ or reach out via the trade chat / Trustfy support.

Likely cause: The wallet couldn't predict a safe gas amount — often because the underlying action would fail for another reason (like insufficient balance).

Try this:
  1. Double-check your USDT and BNB balances first — this is the most common root cause.
  2. Confirm you're on BNB Smart Chain, not another network.
  3. Refresh and retry; if it keeps happening, the trade's conditions may have changed since the page loaded.

Likely cause: You (or your wallet) declined a signature request — sometimes accidentally, sometimes because the request looked unfamiliar.

Try this:
  1. If it was accidental, just retry the action and approve the prompt this time.
  2. If the request looked wrong or unexpected, don't approve it — close it and verify you're on the real Trustfy site before trying again.

Likely cause: Session expired, the browser cleared site data, or the wallet extension was updated/restarted.

Try this:
  1. Click Connect Wallet again — your trades and ads are unaffected, since they live on-chain, not in your session.
  2. Re-approve the sign-in message when prompted.
