Getting Started

What Trustfy is, what you'll need, and how this guide is organized.

4 min readBeginner

Trustfy is a marketplace where you trade USDT — a digital dollar — directly with other people, using your normal bank transfer or mobile money app to pay. There's no company in the middle holding your crypto. Instead, a small piece of code called a smart contract holds it safely until both sides confirm the trade went through.

This guide assumes you've never used crypto, never installed a wallet, and never heard the word “gas” used to mean anything other than what you put in a car. By the end of it, you'll be able to complete a full trade with confidence.

Trustfy runs on one blockchain only — BNB Smart Chain (BSC) — and trades one asset — USDT (BEP20). Network fees are paid in BNB. If you remember nothing else from this guide, remember those three names.

What you'll need#

Before your first trade, you'll want:

A free Web3 wallet appA small amount of BNB (a few dollars' worth)USDT, if you're sellingA way to send/receive local payment (bank, mobile money)

None of this needs to cost much or take long — the Wallet Setup guide walks through getting all of it in about ten minutes.

How this guide is organized#

The sidebar on the left groups every guide into five sections, roughly in the order a first-time trader needs them:

  • Start Here — this page, wallet setup, and how Trustfy works conceptually.
  • Trading — creating ads, buying, selling, and the full trade lifecycle.
  • How Money Moves — escrow, payment, bonds, fees, and gas, explained individually.
  • Safety — disputes and security practices.
  • Reference — FAQ, troubleshooting, and a glossary you can search any time.

Your progress is saved automatically as you read (shown at the top of the sidebar), and you can jump to anything with the search bar — click it, or press Ctrl + K.

Your dashboard, once you're connected#

Quick-start path#

The fastest route from zero to your first trade:

  1. Set up a wallet and get a little BNB — see Wallet Setup.
  2. Skim how the safety mechanics work — see Understanding Trustfy.
  3. Follow along with a real purchase — see Buying Crypto.

Do I have to read this whole guide before I can trade? No — most people only need Wallet Setup and either Buying or Selling Crypto. The rest is here when you need it.

Is there a cost to just browsing? No. Browsing the marketplace and reading this guide are both free — costs only appear once you take an on-chain action.

What if I get stuck partway through a trade? Check the Troubleshooting guide first, then the trade's built-in chat to reach your counterparty, or Trustfy support via Telegram.
