The trade lifecycle
1. Maker posts an offer
A maker publishes a buy or sell ad and, in a single Permit2 signature, deposits their Ad Bond + Dispute Bond + Fee — real capital at risk from the moment the ad goes live. The Trade Amount itself stays in the maker's wallet, untouched, until a taker actually matches.
2. A taker matches and funds
A taker matches some or all of the offer. Matching a Sell offer deposits the taker's own bond/fee only (the maker funds the Trade Amount next); matching a Buy offer bundles the Trade Amount together with the taker's bond/fee into one deposit, going straight to Funded. Either way, it's one signature, with an itemized breakdown shown before you sign.
3. Buyer pays, seller confirms
Once the trade is Funded, the buyer sends the fiat payment off-platform and clicks I Have Paid. The seller then verifies the fiat actually arrived and clicks Confirm Fiat Received & Release — one click that both confirms and releases the escrowed USDT to the buyer, returning both bonds. Every screen tells you specifically whether it's your move or you're waiting on the other side.
4. Disputes, if needed
If something goes wrong, either side can appeal — the seller immediately, the buyer once the Settlement Time Window has elapsed. An independent arbitrator reviews the chat, evidence, and trade timeline, then rules. The loser's dispute bond funds the arbitrator's compensation; the rest is distributed per the ruling.
5. Rate your counterparty
Once a trade completes, either side can leave a rating — any time afterward, even hours or days later, not just immediately. You can only rate a given trade once.
